I moved to Brisbane at 15 and stayed nine years. I'm based in Yokohama now, and I run all four LUMA services myself: English lessons, portrait photography, the S.League health-mahjong community and English-guided Tokyo tours.

Mum encouraged me to go, so at 15 I moved to Brisbane, Australia. I spent nine years there, in a place where I knew neither the language nor the culture. It taught me three things: how to say what I actually mean, how to stop being scared of getting it wrong and how to keep showing up for the people around me.
Back in Japan I started teaching English, taking photos and running events, all at once. Since 2022 I've hosted "S.League," a health mahjong community that has grown to 24 events and 367 cumulative participants in four years.
What I'm after is simple. I want people to feel surer of themselves, and I think words and time spent together are how that happens. All four LUMA services are mine to run, start to finish.
From a small town in Aichi to Brisbane, Tokyo and Yokohama.
I landed in Brisbane with no English and no idea how anything worked.
High school, uni and local jobs. I learnt to speak like myself in English, and to see Japan from the outside.
I left Australia, settled in Yokohama and started working out what I wanted to build here.
I started a no-stakes health mahjong tournament in Shimbashi, Tokyo. 367 people have sat down at the tables since.
"Clarity by Design / Illuminate Your Confidence." One personal brand, four services, all run by me.
"It's never too late to start." That's what my own life keeps telling me.
No templates here. We'll have a chat first, then I'll build the thing around you.
Nine years overseas taught me that. I can show you options most people in Japan never get offered.
Nothing dramatic. Small changes you can actually keep, built out of the right words and time spent with other people.
